History

The Unit was formed at Manbulloo 8 December 1942 by taking over the aircraft and equipment of 34 Squadron. Their first commander was Dr. Clyde "Doc" Fenton. Their duties were ferrying passengers and freight across the Northern Territory. The Unit was disbanded at Darwin 30 December 1945.,
